What keeps a democracy on track? What can derail it? On Wednesday, March 25, Pandora’s Box Continuing Education class looks at End of America. In an indictment of policy changes during the Bush administration, author Naomi Wolf (The Beauty Myth) makes a chilling case that American democracy is under threat. Investigating the rise of dictators in once-free societies, Wolf uncovers a number of unsettling similarities—from the use of paramilitary groups and secret prisons to the targeted suspension of the rule of law. Government professor Gary LeBlanc will introduce the film and lead discussions afterward.
